A post office was established in Salisbury, January 31, 1801, and was located at the village. The following is a list of its post-masters, with the time of the appointment of each.

Mr. Howard has held the office up to the present time.
Another post-office was established in the west part of the town, under the name of West Salisbury, July 19, 1850. J. S. Messer was appointed the first post-master and was succeeded by Royal D. Hedden, who holds the office at the present time.
